Jacky Martens
Jacky Martens (born 3 July 1963) is a Belgian former professional motocross racer and current race team manager. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1979 to 1997. Martens is notable for winning the 1993 F.I.M. 500cc motocross world championship. Racing career Born in Lommel, Belgium, Martens' first motocross race was in 1979, and by the mid 1980s he made the breakthrough into Grand Prix motocross, originally on a privately entered Honda, before a switch to the KTM factory racing team, culminating in a best result of second in the 500cc motocross world championship in 1991. For 1992 Martens switched to the Husqvarna factory team, riding the fearsome Husqvarna 610 four-stroke machine. Jeff Smith (motorcyclist)
Jeffrey Vincent Smith MBE (born 1934) is an English former professional motorcycle racer. His achievements in motorcycle racing include two FIM 500cc Motocross World Championships (1964, 1965), two British Trials Championships, multiple British Experts Trial wins, four individual race wins in the Motocross des Nations, one Scottish Six Days Trial win and eight ISDT Gold Medals. He was a member of the BSA factory racing team. In 1970, Smith was awarded the title of Member of the Order of the British Empire. Riding career Born in Colne, Lancashire, England, Smith began in competitions as a trials rider, becoming so successful that he was offered a place on the Norton factory team. After moving to BSA, he won the 1953 and 1954 British Trials Championship. The 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship was the 63rd FIM Motocross World Championship season. 2014 FIM Motocross World Championship
The 2014 FIM Motocross World Championship was the 58th F.I.M. Motocross World Championship season. It included 17 events including Qatar, Thailand, Brazil, Italy, The Netherlands, Great Britain, France, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Belgium and Mexico. In the premier MXGP class, Tony Cairoli won his sixth consecutive championship title, matching the previous record set by Stefan Everts between 2001 and 2006. Cairoli, riding a KTM, won a total of 9 rounds and 15 races en route to the title, finishing 119 points clear of his nearest rival, Jeremy Van Horebeek, riding a Yamaha. Sven Breugelmans (born 12 August 1979) is a Belgian former professional motocross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1999 to 2008. Breugelmans is notable for being a two-time F.I.M. motocross world championship in the MX3-GP class for 650cc motorcycles. Breugelmans was born in Turnhout, Belgium. In 1999 he competed in the 125cc motocross world championships, finishing the season ranked 31st on a Kawasaki. He switched to riding a Yamaha in the 2000 125cc world championship and improved to 23rd and then finished the 2001 season ranked 12th. In 2003 he joined the Sylvain Geboers Suzuki team to compete in the MXGP class but, a serious injury suffered at the British Grand Prix ended his season. Hawkstone Park is was a destination on the English Grand Tour and is a historic landscape park with pleasure grounds and gardens historically associated with Soulton Hall and Hawkstone Hall.
