Jack Wall (composer)
Jack Wall (born 1964) is an American video game music composer. He has worked on video game music for over 20 games including the ''Myst'' franchise, ''Splinter Cell'', ''Jade Empire'', ''Mass Effect'', and ''Call of Duty''. Wall earned a degree in civil engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and, after a brief stint working in civil engineering, transitioned into music production. He worked with musicians such as John Cale, David Byrne, and Patti Smith, and, after performing increasingly complex production and sound engineering tasks, moved into music composition in 1995. Wall immediately began working in the video game industry, composing the soundtrack to '' Vigilance''. Primarily composing in an orchestral style, by 2001 he composed the soundtrack to '' Myst III: Exile'', which was the title he says put him on the map as a video game composer. Jack Wall (politician)
Jack Wall (born 1 July 1945) is an Irish former Labour Party politician who served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Kildare South constituency from 1997 to 2016 and a Senator from 1993 to 1997, after being nominated by the Taoiseach. Wall was born in Castledermot, County Kildare in 1945. He was educated at Castledermot national school and Castledermot vocational school. He worked as an electrician before entering into local politics in 1991 when he was elected to Athy Town Council and Kildare County Council. In 1993, Wall was nominated to Seanad Éireann. He was elected to Dáil Éireann as a Labour Party TD for Kildare South at the 1997 general election, and was re-elected at each subsequent general election until his retirement in 2016. He previously served as Labour Party Spokesperson for Agriculture, Defence and Arts, Sport and Tourism, and also for Community and Rural Affairs. Jack Wall (rugby League)
Jack Wall was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1940s and 1950s. He played for Western Suburbs in the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) competition. Playing career Wall made his first grade debut for Western Suburbs in 1949, the year after the club had won their third premiership. Wests finished just behind minor premiers South Sydney and qualified for the finals. Wests premiership defence ended in the semi-final as they were defeated by Balmain 20-13 at the Sydney Cricket Ground with Wall playing on the wing. In the next season, Western Suburbs reached the 1950 NSWRL grand final against Souths after disposing of Balmain in the preliminary final 28-10 with Wall scoring a try. In the grand final, Wall played on the wing as Wests went into half time trailing Souths 15-11.
