Jack Rowe (runner)
Jack Rowe (born 30 January 1996) is a British long-distance runner. Early life Born in Norwich, Rowe attended St Mary's University, Twickenham and the University of San Francisco. Career In 2020 he won silver in the 5000m at the British Championships. In December 2021 he finished eighteenth at the European Cross Country Championship that took place in Fingal, Dublin. He was selected for the Great Britain squad to compete in the 3000m, for the 2021 and 2023 European Indoor Athletics Championships, held at the Arena Toruń in Poland, and the Ataköy Athletics Arena in Istanbul respectively. In 2021 and 2023 Rowe qualified for the final in the 3000m race. In September 2023, he won The Big Half in London. Track and field is a sport that includes athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing skills. 3000m
The 3000 metres or 3000-metre run is a track running event, also commonly known as the "3K" or "3K run", where 7.5 laps are run around an outdoor 400 m track, or 15 laps around a 200 m indoor track. It is debated whether the 3000m should be classified as a middle-distance or long-distance event. In elite-level competition, 3000 m pace is more comparable to the pace found in the longer 5000 metres event, rather than mile pace. The world record performance for 3000 m equates to a pace of 58.76 seconds per 400 m, which is closer to the 60.43 seconds for 5000 m than the 55.46 seconds for the mile. However, the 3000 m does require some anaerobic conditioning, and an elite athlete needs to develop a high tolerance to lactic acid, as does the mile runner. Fingal
Fingal ( ; ) is a county in Ireland. It is located in the province of Leinster and is part of the Eastern and Midland Region. 2021 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2021 European Athletics Indoor Championships was held from 4 to 7 March 2021 at the Arena Toruń in Toruń, Poland. This was the second time this event was held in Poland after the 1975 edition in Katowice. The four-day competition featured 13 men's and 13 women's athletics events. Altogether 659 athletes from 46 countries participated in the event which is a record in the competition's history. 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships will be held from 2 to 5 March 2023 at the Ataköy Athletics Arena in Istanbul, Turkey, the first time the event has taken place in this country although the venue did stage the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships, 2012 World Indoor Championships. The four-day competition will be held during the centenary year of the Republic of Turkey, and will feature 13 men's and 13 women's athletics events over three morning and four afternoon sessions. Arena Toruń
Arena Toruń is a multi-purpose sports and entertainment arena in Toruń, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland. It is home to Twarde Pierniki Toruń of the Polish Basketball League (PLK). It was officially opened on 10 August 2014. History In 2010, the general project of the venue was presented by a consortium of DEDECO and MD Polska companies. Construction of the building commenced in 2011. It is located in Chełmińskie Przedmieście, the western part of the city. The total cost of the venue reached 158 million PLN. The 2023 World Athletics Road Running Championships are scheduled to take place in Riga, Latvia, on . As the inaugural World Athletics Road Running Championships, they will include the World Athletics Half Marathon Championships, which were last held in 2020.
