Jack Hunt (American Football)
Jack Hunt (born November 30, 1981) is an American football safety who is currently a free agent. He most recently played for the Miami Dolphins. High school career Hunt played football at Ruston High School in Ruston, Louisiana. In high school, Jack played various positions. He started at wingback and did just as an outstanding job on the defensive side of the ball. He lettered as a sophomore and won various city and state honors in his schools classification, 5A. College career He signed with LSU and played with the Tigers for four years (2000–03). He started out as a wide receiver in his freshman year, playing in seven games and catching three receptions for 37 yards, and also assisted with a tackle. He caught 3 passes for 37 yards the following year. In 2002, his junior year, Hunt moved over to safety, playing 13 games and starting at five. Lieutenant Frederick John Hunt was an English World War I flying ace credited with nine aerial victories. Early life Hunt was born in Whitchurch, Hampshire, England in 1899 the son of Frederick and Emily Hunt, his father was a coal and corn merchant. He would not be old enough for military duty until late in World War I; his earliest known record of service is 1918. World War I Hunt was stationed with 74 Squadron in July 1918. He became a balloon buster for his first aerial victory on 1 September 1918, and would win over another balloon and seven of Germany's finest fighter of the war, the Fokker D.VII, by war's end. He was awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross after his seventh victory, though it would not be gazetted until 1 February 1919. Jack Paul Hunt (born 6 December 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays for club Bristol Rovers. Though primarily a right back, Hunt can also play on the right of midfield. Career Huddersfield Town Having joined up with Huddersfield Town at the age of nine, Hunt went through the club's academy system, starting in May 2008 and signed his first professional contract with the club in April 2009. John Casement Hunt (6 April 1921 – 10 October 1991) was a New Zealand motorcycle speedway rider. Life and career John Casement Hunt was born in Auckland on 6 April 1921, the son of Percy and Nellie Hunt. In 1945, he became champion of New Zealand after winning the New Zealand Solo Championship. He was one of the early overseas riders who travelled to the United Kingdom from New Zealand after World War II and started racing in the British leagues during the 1947 Speedway National League Division Two, when riding for the Newcastle Diamonds.
