Jacen Burrows
Jacen Burrows (born September 11, 1972) is an American comic book artist best known for his work on various books from Avatar Press and Marvel Comics. Career Burrows graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in 1996 with a degree in Sequential Art and Illustration. He started his career providing illustrations for role-playing games such as ''Dungeons & Dragons'' and ''Star Wars''. He broke into comics working as a cover artist for Avatar Press titles such as ''Snowman: Dead and Dying'', ''Threshold'', ''Quantum Mechanics'' and ''Secrets of the Ravening'', for which he also did interior work. In 1998 he pencilled the ''King Zombie'' series for Caliber Press. In 2000 he started collaborating with writer Warren Ellis on several titles for Avatar Press including ''From the Desk of Warren Ellis'', ''Dark Blue'', ''Scars'', ''Bad World'' and '' Bad Signal.'' The New York Comic Con is an annual New York City fan convention dedicated to Western comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, cosplay, toys, movies, and television. It was first held in 2006. Warren Ellis
Warren Girard Ellis (born 16 February 1968) is a British comic book writer, novelist, and screenwriter. He is best known as the co-creator of several original comics series, including ''Transmetropolitan'' (1997–2002), ''Global Frequency'' (2002–2004) and '' Red'' (2003–2004), which was adapted into the feature films '' Red'' (2010) and '' Red 2'' (2013). Ellis is the author of the novels ''Crooked Little Vein'' (2007) and ''Gun Machine'' (2013) and the novella ''Normal'' (2016). Maxim Adam Bemis (born April 6, 1984) () is an American singer, songwriter and musician. He was the lead singer, primary composer and primary lyricist of the band, Say Anything (band), Say Anything, before their hiatus in 2018. He sang alongside Chris Conley in the Supergroup (music), supergroup Two Tongues (which featured band members from Say Anything and Saves the Day). He plays alongside his wife Sherri DuPree, Sherri Dupree-Bemis under the name Perma, and is a comic book writer, chiefly for Marvel Comics. Early life Bemis was born in New York City in 1984. David Lapham
David Lapham is an American comic book writer, artist, and cartoonist, best known for his work on the independent comic book '' Stray Bullets''. Career David Lapham started his career in 1990 as a penciller at Valiant Comics. He went on to work under editor Jim Shooter at Defiant Comics, where they co-created '' Warriors of Plasm'' in 1993. Plot summary The story spans two parts titled "Afghanistan's Plains" and "Black Arrow" (after a monologue in J.R.R. Tolkien's ''The Hobbit'') each consisting of three issues and centers around a Russian Spetsnaz colonel. In the first part the colonel leads a Russian team investigating a plane crash in Afghanistan. ''Alan Moore's Writing for Comics'' is a 48-page paperback book published in 2003 by Avatar Press. The volume reprints a 1985 essay by Alan Moore on how to successfully write comics that originally appeared in the British magazine ''Fantasy Advertiser'' in four chapters, running from issue #92, August 1985, to issue #95, February 1986). The book consists of the four chapters from the original essay along with a new essay written by Moore in 2003 reflecting on his earlier advice.
