Jabarie Hinds
Jabarie Wayne Hinds, Jr. (born March 11, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for Gezira of the Egyptian Basketball Super League. He played college basketball for West Virginia and the UMass. Early life and high school Hinds was born in The Bronx and grew up in Mount Vernon, New York and attended Mount Vernon High School. He was a standout basketball player for the Knights and was named Mr. Basketball for Westchester County in his junior year after averaging 18.5 points, 4.5 steals and 4.0 assists. As a senior, Hinds averaged 17.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.7 steals and was again named Mr. Basketball for Westchester County and also named co- Mr. Basketball for the state of New York and led the Knights to the New York Class AA state title, scoring 31 points in the championship game against Jamestown High School. New York State Public High School Athletic Association Boys Basketball Championships
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Boys Basketball Championships are held annually to determine the champions of public high schools outside of New York City, though some catholic and independent schools are members as well. The championship games are held each March. After 36 years in Glens Falls at the Glens Falls Civic Center, the championships are held in Binghamton at Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena. The winners of the Class AA, A and B tournaments then compete for the state title in a tournament, called the Federation Tournament of Champions, against the champions of the Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA), the New York State Association of Independent Schools Athletic Association (NYSAISAA), and the Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL) (public schools in New York City). 2015–16 Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2015–16 Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball season was the 40th season of Atlantic 10 Conference basketball. The 2016 Atlantic 10 men's basketball tournament was held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dayton, VCU, and St. Bonaventure tied for the regular season championship. Saint Joseph's won the A-10 Tournament. As a result of winning the A-10 Tournament, Saint Joseph's earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) is a collegiate athletic conference whose schools compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Division I. The A-10's member schools are located in states mostly on the United States Eastern Seaboard, as well as some in the Midwest: Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, and Missouri as well as in the District of Columbia.
