JT Roach
JT Roach is an American singer and songwriter. He was the winner of the Season 1 finale of NBCs show ''Songland'', in which OneRepublic chose his song, "Somebody to Love," to perform and record. Career After working as an assistant video editor for ''The Onion'', Roach moved to Los Angeles to be a songwriter. After several years of writing hundreds of songs, he signed a publishing deal with BMG Rights Management, BMG for which he wrote songs for performers such as Jessie Reyez, Emily Warren, French Montana, Lil Jon, Krewella, Nicky Romero, and Jonas Blue. In 2017, Roach began his solo project with the release of a number of singles including "Lazy Kisses." He also released his debut EP ''Witches Lake'' independently just before moving to the Electronic dance music, EDM scene as a vocalist. Songland
''Songland'' is an American songwriting competition series that aired on NBC from May 28, 2019, to June 15, 2020. The show, produced in cooperation with the Universal Television Alternative Studio, 222 Productions, Live Animals Productions and Dave Stewart, sets out to give undiscovered songwriters a chance to create a hit. It gives the viewers a look at the creative process in action. Contestants are selected to work with producers and a recording artist to release a song. The show tries to elevate the traditional role of the songwriter in the process of creating music from "unpleasant secret" to being the celebrated "magic ingredient". Stewart, a musician and composer formerly of Eurythmics, conceived ''Songland''. Jesse Kardon, better known by his alias Subtronics, is an American dubstep DJ and producer from Philadelphia, United States. He is best known for his song "Griztronics", a collaboration with Michigan-based electronic music artist GRiZ that peaked on ''Billboard's'' Hot Dance/Electronic Songs at the No. 9 position in late 2019. Kardon peaked at No. 10 on ''Billboard's'' Next Big Sound chart in September 2019. Kardon is known for his mixtape series ''Now That's What I Call Riddim'', though he has stated the mixes are not riddim despite the name. Elizabeth Mencel (born April 14, 1993), better known by her stage name Rozes (stylized as ROZES or R O Z E S), is an American musician, singer and songwriter from Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania. She is best known for her 2015 collaboration, "Roses", with duo The Chainsmokers. She also featured in Galantis' song " Girls on Boys". Early years A native of Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania, Mencel grew up in a gospel-influenced home and first studied piano at age six. Jason Elliot Ross (born February 7, 1989) is an American DJ and record producer. Currently living in Los Angeles, California, he is signed to UK-based record label, Anjunabeats and Seven Lions' label Ophelia Records. He released his debut album, ''1000 Faces'', on January 24, 2020. Jason Ross is best known for producing melodic bass, trance and progressive house music. Trevor Christensen (born 12 May 1993), known professionally as Said the Sky, is an American electronic dance music producer, DJ and musician. Early life At the age of 8, Christensen went for piano lessons which he had disliked. He quit the lessons after several years but later rejoined it while he was in middle school, along picking up other instruments to learn. He first got into electronic dance music by learning about the production at a Digital Audio Production class in high school. Christensen uses Ableton Live to produce music. Slander (stylized as SLANDER) is an American DJ duo consisting of Derek Andersen and Scott Land based in Los Angeles. They are best known for their unique sound and subgenre "heaven trap". They attribute most of their success to their close friend Nathaniel Bates, who they say “single handedly gave them the inspiration and confidence to become full time DJ’s”. Early life Andersen and Land met at their fraternity, Kappa Sigma, in University of California, Irvine. They later went to and graduated from Icon Collective, a music production school together with Nghtmre. Krewella
Krewella is an American electronic dance music band from the Chicago suburb of Northbrook, Illinois, United States, that formed in 2007. Their musical style has been mainly described as EDM, dance-rock, and dance-pop.
