Ivan Rieder (born December 3, 1976 in Thun, Canton of Bern) is a retired Swiss Nordic combined skier who has been competing since 1999. He finished fifth in the 4 x 5 km team event at the 2007 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Sapporo and earned his best finish of 30th in the 7.5 km sprint at those same championships. The 2006 Winter Olympics, officially the XX Olympic Winter Games ( it, XX Giochi olimpici invernali) and also known as Torino 2006, were a winter multi-sport event held from 10 to 26 February 2006 in Turin, Italy. This marked the second time Italy had hosted the Winter Olympics, the first being in 1956 in Cortina d'Ampezzo; Italy had also hosted the Summer Olympics in 1960 in Rome.
