Irina Antonovna Sidorkova ( rus, Ири́на Анто́новна Сидорко́ва; born 27 June 2003 in Petrozavodsk), also known as Ira Sidorkova, is a Russian racing driver. She has competed in the W Series and the F3 Asian Championship. Biography Sidorkova began karting aged six, having been inspired to race by the film ''Cars''. Having competed across Northern Russia and the Baltics with success – including an Estonian championship in 2012 – she moved into rallying aged 11 and touring car racing through the Russian Circuit Racing Series aged 13, both opportunities coming through Volkswagen. Having won the National Junior class title in 2018, SMP Racing invited Sidorkova to contest the final round of the Formula 4 Northern European Zone Championship where she finished thirteenth in all three races. Petrozavodsk (russian: Петрозаводск, p=pʲɪtrəzɐˈvotsk; Karelian, Vepsian and fi, Petroskoi) is the capital city of the Republic of Karelia, Russia, which stretches along the western shore of Lake Onega for some . 2020 W Series
The 2020 W Series was a planned motor racing championship that was scheduled to be the second W Series season. The championship was to be exclusively open to female racing drivers as a Formula Regional-level racing series. The planned championship season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and a 10-event eSports league for female racing drivers only was held on the ''iRacing'' platform in its place. The league was ultimately won by Beitske Visser. Driver selection The top twelve finishers from the 2019 championship were automatically eligible to compete in the 2020 season, leaving eight vacancies in the driver line up. Touring car racing is a motorsport road racing competition with heavily modified road-going cars. It has both similarities to and significant differences from stock car racing, which is popular in the United States.
