Ionuț Mazilu
Ionuț Costinel Mazilu (born 9 February 1982) is a Romanian former footballer, currently a manager. He is known in Romania for his sharp finishing, pace and technique. Career Club Mazilu started his career at Sportul Studențesc in 1999. In the 2005–06 season, he was the leading goalscorer in the Romanian Liga I scoring 22 goals. The following season, he was taken to FC Rapid București, where he played for two years playing 34 games and scoring 18 goals. On 12 January 2008, Mazilu was transferred to the Ukrainian club FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk for a fee of €4 million, the highest fee received by a Romanian football club at that time. He failed to make an immediate impact. During his first year he only played eight games with a single goal scored. The Supercupa României ( en, Romanian Supercup) is a Romanian football championship contested by the winners of the Liga I and the Cupa României. It is usually played at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The competition started off in 1994, with the first edition being won by Steaua București. In 2010, for the first time in its history, the Supercup was held even though CFR Cluj had been victorious in both the league and the cup in the previous season. At that time, they faced Unirea Urziceni, the Liga I runners-up. The most successful performer so far has been FCSB with 6 wins, followed by Rapid București and CFR Cluj with 4 wins each up until 2021. The 2000–01 Divizia B was the 61st season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format has been maintained to two series, each of them having 18 teams. At the end of the season, the winners of the series promoted to Divizia A and the last six places from both series relegated to Divizia C. The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions.
