International Hospital Of Bahrain
The International Hospital of Bahrain (Abbreviation: IHB; Arabic: مستشفى البحرين الدولي ) was a private hospital in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Established in 1978 and located in Jidhafs, off the Budaiya highway, it was the second private medical center in the country after the American Mission Hospital. In 2014, a dispute emerged over unpaid wages to nurses and doctors after the hospital had an 80% decrease in patient visits. In 2017, an investigation into the hospital's financial records revealed " serious financial irregularities". In 2018, the National Health Regulatory Authority of Bahrain ordered the suspension of the hospital's services over "maintenance" issues highlighted in an inspection report. As of 2019, the pay dispute was not resolved despite court rulings in the staff's favour; dozens of nurses and doctors have since resigned from the hospital. Jidhafs ( ar, جدحفص, Jid Ḥafṣ) is a city in Bahrain. It was a municipality of Bahrain in the northern part of the country. Its territory is now in the Capital and Northern Governorate. Budaiya
Al Budaiya ( ar, البديع) is a coastal town located in the northwestern region of Bahrain Island, in the Northern Governorate of the Kingdom of Bahrain. It neighbors the villages of Diraz and Bani Jamra. History The town was founded by the Dawasiri tribe, but most of the tribe left en masse to mainland Saudi Arabia in 1923, after conflict emerged with the British colonial authorities. Many Dawasir tribe members later returned to Budaiya, with some still living in the village today. Prior to the discovery of oil in Bahrain, most Budaiya residents were involved in the pearl diving and fishing industry. American Mission Hospital
The American Mission Hospital is a 120 year old private not-for-profit hospital located in Manama, Bahrain. Established in 1903, as the Mason Memorial Hospital, it was the first modern hospital in the country and, possibly, along the entire Southern Arabian Gulf region. Today, the hospital offers specialist medical, dental, and wellness services from its main branch in Manama, and from its three satellite clinics in the country, located at Saar, Amwaj Islands and Riffa. The ''Gulf Daily News'' (''GDN'') is an English-language local newspaper published in the Kingdom of Bahrain by Al Hilal Group. The paper, which is one of six daily newspapers in Bahrain, calls itself "The Voice of Bahrain". Salmaniya Medical Complex ( ar, مجمع السلمانية الطبي) is a public hospital situated in the Salmaniya district of Manama in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Established in 1957 and having a bed capacity of approximately 1,200 beds, it is the largest tertiary hospital in the country. The hospital provides secondary, tertiary, and emergency healthcare services as well as specialised outpatient clinics for the general public. Residency programs in the hospital are either Arab Board or Saudi Board certified. The hospital receives an average of 900-1000 patients a day and employs more than 2,000 physicians, nurses and workers. Bahrain's main morgue is situated in the complex.
