Jidhafs ( ar, جدحفص, Jid Ḥafṣ) is a city in Bahrain. It was a municipality of Bahrain in the northern part of the country. Its territory is now in the Capital and Northern Governorate. It is about 3 km west of the capital Manama. Manama ( ar, المنامة ', Bahrani Arabic, Bahrani pronunciation: ) is the capital and largest city of Bahrain, with an approximate population of 200,000 people as of 2020. Long an important trading center in the Persian Gulf, Manama is home to a very diverse population. Capital Governorate (Bahrain)
The Capital Governorate () is one of the four governorates of Bahrain. The governorate includes Manama, the capital of Bahrain. It is the most populous administrative region in the country, with a population of over half million people in 2020. Formation The Capital Governorate was formed by royal decree on 3 July 2002. The present governorate incorporates the municipalities of Al Manamah, Jid Ali, Ras Rumman and parts of Jidd Haffs. Al Daih
Al Daih ( ar, الديه) is a village on the north of Bahrain. It lies to the east of Budaiya, west of Al Manama. It was formerly known as Al Bida, Abu Al Zila, and now is called Al Daih, which is derived from the Persian word ''deh'' meaning "small village". In a Monday of 2014 three police in the village of Daih were killed by a bomb. Saraya al-Ashtar claimed responsibility. Sanabis
Sanabis ( ar, سنابس ') is a village located in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in the suburbs of the capital city, Manama. Etymology The definition of the word ''Sanabis'' is disputed, with the most popular view being that members of the Sunbus tribe which traces its origins to the Qahtanite Tayy tribe migrated from Khobar to Qatif and Bahrain and the areas that they settled in were named Sinbas after the tribe's name but which later became known as Sanabis. History In J. G. Lorimer's Gazetteer of the Persian Gulf (1908), Sanabis is said to be inhabited by 1500 Baharna who primarily engage in boat-building, pearling and fishing. According to his report, the village had a noticeable pretty mosque situated in the centre of the village. At the time, there were an estimated 900 date palm trees, 16 donkeys, 10 cattle, and 30 pearling boats belonging to Sanabis.
