International Federation For Modern Languages And Literatures
The International Federation for Modern Languages and Literatures (FILLM), is an international academic organisation for scholarship in the field of languages and literatures. FILLM is an umbrella organisation and its members are other academic organisations. As of September 2016, the federation has fourteen member associations. History FILLM was founded in Oslo in 1928 as the ''Commission Internationale d’Histoire Littéraire Moderne''. In 1951 it was subsumed under the '' Conseil International de la Philosophie et des Sciences Humaines'' (CIPSH), which is a Non-governmental organization under UNESCO. International Council For Philosophy And Humanistic Studies
The International Council for Philosophy and Humanistic Studies (French: ''Conseil international de la philosophie et des sciences humaines''; ICPHS/CIPSH) is a non-governmental organization within UNESCO. It embraces hundreds of learned societies in the field of philosophy, human sciences and related subjects. History CIPSH was founded at a first General Assembly held in January 1949 upon suggestion by Sir Julian Huxley, the first Director-General of UNESCO. The first president was Jacques Rueff. The International Comparative Literature Association (ICLA) (French: Association Internationale de Littérature Comparée—AILC) is an international organization for international research in comparative literature.
