Inner Ring Road (Shanghai)
Inner Ring Road (), also known as ''Inner Ring Elevated Road'' (), is an Elevated highway, elevated expressway loop in the city of Shanghai. It was the first ring road around the city of Shanghai. The Puxi section of the road was completely grade-separated and complete in 1994, while the Pudong section of the road was completely grade-separated in 2009. Before the grade separation in Pudong, the road ran at street level, with traffic lights at intersections. The maximum speed on the expressway is , with two lanes in each direction. The Inner Ring Road crosses the Huangpu River twice, using the Yangpu Bridge, Yangpu and Nanpu Bridge, Nanpu bridges. S20 Outer Ring Expressway
The Shanghai Outer Ring Expressway (), designated S20, is a ring expressway that surrounds the inner districts of the city of Shanghai, China. The different sections of the road have specific names in relation to the cardinal directions. For instance, the eastern portion of the expressway is named 上海环东一大道 (Huandong Avenue (No. 1), literally ''Eastern Ring No. 1 Avenue''), the western portion of the expressway is named 上海环西一大道 (Huanxi Avenue (No. 1), literally ''Western Ring No. 1 Avenue''), and so on. The Bund
The Bund or Waitan (, Shanghainese romanization: ''Nga3thae1'', , ) is a waterfront area and a protected historical district in central Shanghai. The area centers on a section of Zhongshan Road (East Zhongshan Road No.1) within the former Shanghai International Settlement, which runs along the western bank of the Huangpu River in the eastern part of Huangpu District. The area along the river faces the modern skyscrapers of Lujiazui in the Pudong District. The Bund usually refers to the buildings and wharves on this section of the road, as well as some adjacent areas. From the 1860s to the 1930s, it was the rich and powerful center of the foreign establishment in Shanghai, operating as a legally protected treaty port. Huangpu District (), makes up the eastern part of Shanghai's traditional urban core and is today the most central of Shanghai's 16 districts. Xinzhuang, Shanghai
Xinzhuang () is a town located in Minhang District, Shanghai, China. The town was, by the early 21st century, essentially walking toward the greater Shanghai urban area. On April 15, 1999, Korean Air Cargo Flight 6316 crashed in Xinzhuang, killing all three people on board along with five more people on the ground. Transport The Xinzhuang Metro Station is located in the east of Xinzhuang, providing access to Metro Line 1 and Line 5, and will provide access to Jinshan Railway in the near future. Xuhui District
Xuhui District is a core urban district of Shanghai. It has a land area of and a population of 982,200 as of 2008. The Xuhui District is named after its namesake, the historic area of Xujiahui. Xujiahui was historically land owned by Ming dynasty bureaucrat and scientist Xu Guangqi, and later donated to the Roman Catholic Church. It and Luwan District jointly formed the core of Catholic Shanghai, centered in the former French Concession of Shanghai. Vestiges of the French influence can still be seen in the St. Ignatius Cathedral of Shanghai, Xuhui College, the Xujiahui Observatory, and some remaining boulevards and French-style districts. Putuo District (), is a municipal district of Shanghai Municipality, People's Republic of China. It covers an area of . Jing'an District
Jing'an District () is one of the central districts of Shanghai. In 2014, it had 1,180,000 inhabitants in an area of . The district borders the Hongkou District to the east, Huangpu District, Shanghai, Huangpu District to the east and south, Putuo District, Shanghai, Putuo District to the west, Baoshan District, Shanghai, Baoshan District to the north and Changning District to the west.
