Putuo District (), is a municipal district of Shanghai Municipality, People's Republic of China. It covers an area of . Putuo District borders Baoshan District to the north, Jing'an District to the east and south east, Changning District to the south west and Jiading District to the west. Overview The name of Putuo District comes from Putuo Road, located within the district. Suzhou Creek crosses the Putuo District and makes up the eastern boundary of the area, shared by Jing'an District. The Shanghai Putuo District People's Government is located on Daduhe Road. The Zhenru Temple, Jade Buddha Temple, and Changfeng Park are located in the district. The Shanghai West Railway Station is in Putuo District. East China Normal University has a Putuo campus. Changshou Road Subdistrict () is a subdistrict on the southern side of Putuo District, Shanghai. The subdistrict was formed on 23 October 1991 from the merger of Jiaozhou Road Subdistrict and Putuo Road Subdistrict and was expanded in April 2004 when parts of Baiyu Subdistrict, Shiquan Subdistrict and Dongxin Subdistrict during an area adjustment of Putuo District. There are 31 village-level divisions within Changshou Road Subdistrict. Changshou Road Subdistrict is named for Changshou Road, a major road artery in the area.
