Iniciativa Amotocodie
Iniciativa Amotocodie is an environmental organization in Paraguay. The NGO has its seat in the town of Filadelfia. Iniciativa Amotocodie is part of the International Alliance for the Protection of Isolated Peoples and is on its Executive Committee. The members of its board are based in different parts, as well as other Latin American and European countries. Its aims include the cultural strengthening of the Ayoreo ethnic group. Benno Glauser is its director. On December 1, 2010 Paraguayan prosecutors and police broke into the premises of the NGO. According to the organization, the forests of the Chaco are threatened by destruction. This is to a large extent by Germans and foreigners. In this sense the environment may refer to the biophysical environment or the natural environment. Paraguay

Filadelfia
Filadelfia () is the capital of Boquerón Department in the Gran Chaco of western Paraguay. It is the centre of the Fernheim Colony. It is about a 5-hour drive from the capital of Asunción. With a population of about 20,000, it is the largest town for .Pearce 2012, p. 133. History Filadelfia was founded in 1930 by Russian Mennonites who fled from the Soviet Union. Filadelfia lay near the front of the Chaco War, but was little affected. It became divided in the Second World War, with some of the original German colonists supporting Germany and later being expelled. Filadelfia has developed into an important cattle herding settlement. Infrastructure Today the town is home to a museum, a library, a radio station and a hospital. Ayoreo People
The Ayoreo (Ayoreode, Ayoréo, Ayoréode) are an indigenous people of the Gran Chaco. They live in an area surrounded by the Paraguay, Pilcomayo, Parapetí, and Grande Rivers, spanning both Bolivia and Paraguay. There are approximately 5,600 Ayoreo people in total. Around 3,000 live in Bolivia, and 2,600 live in Paraguay. Traditionally nomadic hunter-gatherers, the majority of the population was sedentarized by missionaries in the twentieth century. The few remaining uncontacted Ayoreo are threatened by deforestation and loss of territory. Gran Chaco
The Gran Chaco or Dry Chaco is a sparsely populated, hot and semiarid lowland natural region of the Río de la Plata basin, divided among eastern Bolivia, western Paraguay, northern Argentina, and a portion of the Brazilian states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, where it is connected with the Pantanal region. This land is sometimes called the Chaco Plain. Toponymy The name Chaco comes from a word in Quechua, an indigenous language from the Andes and highlands of South America. Survival International is a human rights organisation formed in 1969, a London based charity that campaigns for the rights of indigenous and/or tribal peoples and uncontacted peoples. The organisation's campaigns generally focus on tribal peoples' desires to keep their ancestral lands. Survival International calls these peoples "some of the most vulnerable on earth", and aims to eradicate what it calls "misconceptions" used to justify violations of human rights.
