Indrek Varblane (born 5 May 1968) is an Estonian basketball player. He was born in Tallinn. He has studied at Estonian Sports Gymnasium (TSIK). He began his basketball career at the age of 15, coached by Pearn Pressraud. Later his coaches were Üllar Kerde and Jaanus Levkoi. He has played in the clubs Asto-Basket, BC Tallinn, Baltika, BC Nybit and Pirita BM. He has been a member of Estonia men's national basketball team The Estonia men's national basketball team ( et, Eesti korvpallikoondis) represents Estonia in international basketball matches. Audentes Sports Gymnasium ( et, Audentese Spordigümnaasium) is a sports school in Tallinn, and with the branch in Otepää, Estonia. School's history goes back to 1 September 1967 when Tallinn Sports Boarding School () was established in Tallinn. In 1990, the school was re-organized, when Tallinn Sports College () and another sports school () was merged. New name for the three merged schools became ''Estonian Sports Gymnasium'' (). In 2000, Estonian Sports Gymnasium was acquired by AS Audentes. School was re-organized into Audentes Sports Gymnasium. BC Nybit
Triobet/Dalkia (also known as Nybit) was an Estonian professional basketball club founded in 1992 and dissolved in 2008. The club played in the Estonian Korvpalli Meistriliiga. The team won 1 Estonian Cup. The team played its home games at Audentes Sports Center. History Founded in 1992 as Dublant, the team changed its name to Nybit in 1993. In 1998, the team won the Estonian Basketball Cup. Nybit reached the Korvpalli Meistriliiga finals in the 1998–99 KML season and the 2003–04 KML season but failed to win the title. In 2007, the team changed its name to Triobet/Dalkia. The team was dissolved in 2008. The Estonia men's national basketball team ( et, Eesti korvpallikoondis) represents Estonia in international basketball matches. They are controlled by the Estonian Basketball Association. The team competed in their first international tournament at the 1936 Olympic Games. Estonia has also qualified for the EuroBasket six times overall, with their best results coming in 1937 and 1939. However, after 1939, Estonia halted national team activities due to the occupation of the Baltic states during World War II. Estonia would later rejoin FIBA in 1991, after regaining independence from the Soviet Union.
