The Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT) is a regional political party in Tripura, India. It is a member of the National Democratic Alliance and North-East Democratic Alliance. The party was merged into the Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura (INPT) in 2001, However diverged out in 2009. The party is allied with BJP in the 2018 Tripura Legislative Assembly election and won 8 seats out of 9 contested seats. The party got 7.5% of the total votes polled. The BJP got 36 seats and with a total of 44 seats the BJP-IPFT coalition have two-thirds majority at the Legislative Assembly. Harinath Debbarma
Harinath Debbarma (born 30 June 1933) is a Tripuri people, Tipra-India, Indian politician, activist and statesman from Tripura. Harinath Debbarma founded the Tripura Upajati Juba Samiti, Tripura Upajati Juba Samiti (TUJS) in 1967 along with Shyama Charan Tripura. Later he founded the Indigenous People's Front of Tripura in 1997. Harinath Debbarma was also a Tripura Legislative Assembly, Member of Legislative Assembly from the Charilam (Vidhan Sabha constituency), Charilam constituency in Tripura and the former CEM of Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council, TTAADC (1990). An insurgency is a violent, armed rebellion against authority waged by small, lightly armed bands who practice guerrilla warfare from primarily rural base areas. Tipraland State Party (TSP) was a regional political party in Tripura, India. TSP beliefs relate to Tripuri nationalism, social reformation, and revolution for the Tripuri nation. The main demand of the party is to elevate Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council to Tipraland statehood under Article 3 of the Indian Constitution. Tipraland
Tipraland is the name of a proposed state in India for the indigenous Tripuri people in the tribal areas of the Tripura state. They demand the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council and some surrounding areas to be made into a separate state from Tripura. The proposed state covers 68% of the total geographical area of the Tripura and is home to over one-third of the total population of Tripura. There is also a demand for a "Greater Tipraland" by adding Tripuris dominant areas outside the TTAADC and creation of development council for Tripuris living in other Indian states. The National Conference of Tripura (NCT) was a regional political party of the state of Tripura, India formed in December 2006 at Darjeelingpara in Teliamura. It was formed by Rabindra Kishore Debbarma, formerly of the GMP of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM) in Tripura, and Animesh Debbarma of Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra (INPT). The NCT included many disaffected members of the Twipra Students Union, the Tribal Youth Federation and the GMP of the CPIM party in Tripura, and leaders from INPT. Animesh Debbarma is an Indian politician and the leader of the Tipra Motha Party. Currently he is the Leader of the Opposition of Tripura Legislative Assembly. He served as Deputy Chief Executive Member of TTAADC but resigned when he won the 2023 Tripura Legislative Assembly election and became a member of the 13th Tripura Assembly. Early life Animesh Debbarma was born in Rajnagar Village of Khowai District of Tripura. Debbarma graduated with B.Tech in Computer Science and engineering from NERIST, Arunachal Pradesh. National Socialist Party of Tripura is a political party in the Indian state of Tripura. NSPT was formed when Hirendra Tripura and others broke away from the Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura in the summer of 2003. One of the principal leaders of INPT, Shyamcharan Tripura, took the side of NSPT. With the help of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) members in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), the NSPT were quickly able to win control over the TTAADC. In the 2005 elections to the TTAADC the NSPT contested four seats, supported by the Left Front. All four candidates were elected.
