Indian Women's League, founded in 2016, is the highest level of women's football club competition in India. A league system is a hierarchy of leagues in a sport. They are often called pyramids, due to their tendency to split into an increasing number of regional divisions further down the system. League systems of some sort are used in many sports in many countries. The league serves as the top football league in the state of Punjab and is sanctioned by Punjab Football Association. Assam State Premier League (ASPL) is the state-level top division football league in the Indian state of Assam, organised by the Assam Football Association and the Guwahati Sports Association.
