Independent Movement Of Absolute Renovation
The Independent Movement of Absolute Renovation ( es, Movimiento Independiente de Renovación Absoluta, "MIRA") is a political party in Colombia, founded on March 21, 2000 by 51,095 Colombians led by lawyer and former senator Carlos Alberto Baena and Alexandra Moreno Piraquive. The party also has functions as a non-profit organization. It has representation in the Chamber of Representatives and in the Senate of the Congress of Colombia, and has also participated in the public corporations of Colombia at a regional level, being stated as the eighth-most influential political force in the country. The party is commonly known in Colombia as "Movimiento MIRA" or just "MIRA". Members and affiliates are known as "Miraists", and their ideology is called ''Miraism''. Municipalities Of Colombia

2018 Colombian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Colombia on 11 March 2018 to elect 102 members of the Senate and 165 members of the House of Representatives. Electoral system The Chamber of Representatives consisted of 172 members; 162 were elected by proportional representation from 33 multi-member constituencies based on the departments, with seats allocated using the largest remainder method. Two members were elected by the Afro-Colombian community and one by the indigenous community. Although a new constituency had been created for the Raizal minority, legislation had not been approved to allow the election to take place. 2006 Colombian Legislative Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Colombia on March 12, 2006 to elect members of the Senate and Chamber of Representatives. Presidential primaries were also held for the Liberal Party and the Alternative Democratic Pole prior to the upcoming presidential elections in May. Chamber of Representatives Senate In the two-seat indigenous constituency, more blank votes were cast than votes for parties, resulting in a re-run being required. This took place with the same parties ( AICO and ASI) but difference candidates.
