Imhotep (hip Hop)
Pascal Perez (born in Algiers on 19 May 1960), better known by his stage name Imhotep, is an Algerian-French DJ and music producer. In addition to his solo work including albums ''Blue Print'' and ''Kheper'' and producing of other artists, he was one of the founding members of the Marseille rap group IAM and its sound architect. Career Pascal Perez after getting his graduate diploma worked as a school teacher for 4 years. But greatly influenced by music, having affinity to a number of versatile musical genres from the start, he played in a number of formations with blues, rock, reggae and funk influences. He also made the night circuits with electronic music and became a pioneer of beat-making in France. In 1989, he joined IAM adopting the name of the historic Egyptian character Imhotep, alongside Akhenaton (Philippe Fragione), Shurik'n Chang-Ti Geoffroy Mussard, Khéops (Eric Mazel) and Kephren (François Mendy). Nabil Ben Yadir is a Belgian actor, film director, and screenwriter. Career Ben Yadir made his feature-length directorial debut in 2009 with ''The Barons'', which he also co-wrote with Laurent Brandenbourger and Sébastien Fernandez. The film was nominated for six Magritte Awards, including Best Director and Best Screenplay. His second feature, ''The Marchers'', was screened in Official Competition at Cannes. Hamid Cheriet ( kab, Ḥamid Ceryat; 25 October 1949 – 2 May 2020), better known by his stage name Idir, was an Algerian Kabyle singer-songwriter and musician. Referred to as the "King of Amazigh music", he is regarded as one of the more significant modern day figures in Algerian and Amazigh culture, history, and struggle. Along with musicians like Ferhat Mehenni and Lounis Aït Menguellet, Idir helped popularize Raï folk music. Initially training to be a geologist, his interest for music was piqued when he was called to sing on state radio as a late substitute. After finishing his compulsory military service, he moved to France in 1975 and embarked on his career in music. Idir took a hiatus during the 1980s before returning in 1993. Intik
Intik (; pronounced: n.ti:k is an Algerian rap/hip hop group consisting of four artists. The group raps in both Darija ( Algerian Arabic creole) and French and often drawing upon the violence all four experienced while growing up in turbulent Algeria during the 80s and 90s. The name Intik in Algerian dialect means “everything’s going great”, which is ironic considering the Algerian political unrest which the Intik focuses upon. Intik's front man is the rapper Youss (short for Youssef) with the other members being Reda, Samir, and Nabil.
