Ime Anthropos Ki Ego
Cyprus was present at the Eurovision Song Contest 1994. It was represented with the song "Eimai anthropos ki ego", performed by Evridiki. It finished 11th with 51 points. Before Eurovision Originally, Cyprus was relegated from the contest because it finished in the bottom 7 of the 1993 contest; however, after Italy withdrew from the contest, their place was awarded to Cyprus, who ultimately competed. National final The final was held at the International Conference Centre in Nicosia on 18 March 1994. The winning song was chosen by an "expert" jury. Voting On the night of the contest Cyprus performed 4th, following Ireland and preceding Iceland. At the close of voting it had received 51 points, placing Cyprus 11th out of 25 entries. The Cypriot jury awarded its 12 points to Greece. Evridiki Theokleous ( el, Ευρυδίκη Θεοκλέους, ; born 25 February 1968), known professionally as simply Evridiki, is a Greek-Cypriot rock, pop, and electropop singer. She is best known in Europe for representing her home country, Cyprus, in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1992, 1994 and 2007 with the songs ''Teriazoume'', ''Eimai Anthropos Ki Ego'' and ''Comme Ci, Comme Ça'', respectively. George Theofanous
Giorgos (George) Theofanous (, ) (born in Larnaca, Cyprus on 9 January 1968) is a Greek Cypriot composer and producer. He has sold more than two million records and written more than 500 songs in the 1990s and 2000s. Recording artists for whom he has written and produced for include Nana Mouskouri, George Dalaras. His work has received a total of nine Arion Awards, which was an award show by IFPI Greece. He served as a judge on five seasons of the Greek edition of The X Factor. He studied guitar, piano, and music theory at the national conservatory of Greece. He continued his studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, majoring in arrangement. The Eurovision Song Contest 1994 was the 39th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Dublin, Ireland, following the country's victory at the with the song "In Your Eyes" by Niamh Kavanagh. It was the first time that any country had hosted the contest two years in a row.
