Ikast Håndbold
Ikast Håndbold is a Danish women's handball club based in Ikast. They have competed in Damehåndboldligaen, Denmark's primary handball league, since 1991. History The club was founded as ''Ikast FS Håndboldafdeling'' on 20 June 1970 as a merger of the handball departments of ''Ikast DUI'' and ''Ikast Skytte Gymnastik Forening''. Their breakthrough came in 1991 when they won the Danish Cup and reached the top division, Dame Håndbold Ligaen. They saw success again in 1998 as they won their first and only Danish Championship gold. At the beginning of November 2008, it was announced that the professional division of Ikast-Brande EH had been taken over by football club FC Midtjylland. As a result, the team changed their name to FC Midtjylland Håndbold and switched colors from blue and yellow to red and black. In November 2017, it was announced that FC Midtjylland had sold off the handball team to a group of investors. From the 2018–19 season, they will be renamed Herning Ikas ...

Ikast-Brande Arena
IBF Arena is an indoor sports arena in Ikast, Denmark primarily used for team handball, handball. It can hold 2,550 spectators (with a further 300 in a standing area if needed) and is home to Herning-Ikast Håndbold. Until June 2008 it was called Sportscenter Ikast. References

Simone Cathrine Petersen
Simone Cathrine Petersen (born 28 August 1997) is a Danish handball player for Ikast Håndbold and the Danish national team. She represented Denmark at the 2021 World Women's Handball Championship in Spain. She debuted for the Danish national team in 2021 against France. The same year she was at her first major tournament, the 2021 world cup in Spain where she won a bronze medal. Career Simone Petersen started playing handball in her hometown Ringsted at TMS Ringsted. While she was enrolled at Københavns Idrætsefterskole in Copenhagen she was on the youth team at BK Ydun. When she returned to Jutland she joined FC Midtjylland Håndbold, where she debuted in the Danish league at the age of 17. The 14–15 season was especially a prolific season, where she won both the junior and senior Danish Cup and league, as well as the EHF Cup Winners' Cup and won the European Youth Championship with the Danish U-19 national team. Julie Mathiesen Scaglione (born 20 August 2004) is a Danish handball player who plays for Ikast Håndbold in the Damehåndboldligaen and the Danish national team. She also represented Denmark in the 2021 European Women's U-17 Handball Championship, placing 4th. Scaglione was also included in the official All-Star team for tournament, as best left back. She made her debut on the Danish national team on 9 June 2022 against Slovenia. She was also selected as part of the Danish 35-player squad for the 2021 World Women's Handball Championship in Spain. In January 2024 she suffered an knee cruciate ligament injury in a match against Skanderborg Håndbold, which is likely to keep her out for the rest of the 2023/24 season.
