Cecilie Brandt
Cecilie Højgaard Brandt (born 16 November 2001) is a Danish handball player who plays for Ikast Håndbold in the Damehåndboldligaen and the Danish national team. She also represented Denmark in the 2019 Women's U-19 European Handball Championship, placing 6th. She made her debut on the Danish national team on 5 March 2022 against Romania, appearing for the team during the EHF Women's Euro 2022 qualifying cycle. Viborg (), a city in central Jutland, Denmark, is the capital of both Viborg municipality and Region Midtjylland. The European Handball Federation (EHF) is the umbrella organisation for European handball. Founded on 17 November 1991, it is made of 50 member federations and two associated federations (England and Scotland), and is headquartered in Vienna, Austria. History EHF was founded on 17 November 1991 in Berlin, Germany, although the first EHF Congress convened on 5 June 1992 and assigned EHF's headquarters to Vienna, Austria from 1 September that year. This article describes the qualification for the 2022 European Women's Handball Championship and inaugural Women's EHF Euro Cup. Qualification system 32 teams registered for participation and competed for twelve places at the final tournament in two distinct qualification phases. Ikast Håndbold
Ikast Håndbold is a Danish women's handball club based in Ikast. They have competed in Damehåndboldligaen, Denmark's primary handball league, since 1991. History The club was founded as ''Ikast FS Håndboldafdeling'' on 20 June 1970 as a merger of the handball departments of ''Ikast DUI'' and ''Ikast Skytte Gymnastik Forening''. Their breakthrough came in 1991 when they won the Danish Cup and reached the top division, Dame Håndbold Ligaen. They saw success again in 1998 as they won their first and only Danish Championship gold. At the beginning of November 2008, it was announced that the professional division of Ikast-Brande EH had been taken over by football club FC Midtjylland. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team.
