Simone Cathrine Petersen
Simone Cathrine Petersen (born 28 August 1997) is a Danish handball player for Ikast Håndbold and the Danish national team. She represented Denmark at the 2021 World Women's Handball Championship in Spain. She debuted for the Danish national team in 2021 against France. The same year she was at her first major tournament, the 2021 world cup in Spain where she won a bronze medal. Career Simone Petersen started playing handball in her hometown Ringsted at TMS Ringsted. While she was enrolled at Københavns Idrætsefterskole in Copenhagen she was on the youth team at BK Ydun. When she returned to Jutland she joined FC Midtjylland Håndbold, where she debuted in the Danish league at the age of 17. The 14–15 season was especially a prolific season, where she won both the junior and senior Danish Cup and league, as well as the EHF Cup Winners' Cup and won the European Youth Championship with the Danish U-19 national team. 2022 European Women's Handball Championship
The 2022 European Women's Handball Championship was held in Slovenia, North Macedonia and Montenegro from 4 to 20 November 2022. It showed an impressive action by the norwegian right-back Nora Mørk, who was the top scorer of the EHF EURO 2022, and Henny Reistad, the MVP. The tournament has been advanced a month in order not to coincide with the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Bundesliga (handball)
The Handball-Bundesliga (HBL) is the top German professional handball league. From 2007 onwards, the league was sponsored by Toyota and has officially been called the ''Toyota Handball-Bundesliga''. The European Handball Federation (EHF) is the umbrella organisation for European handball. Founded on 17 November 1991, it is made of 50 member federations and two associated federations (England and Scotland), and is headquartered in Vienna, Austria. Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The goals are surrounded by a zone where only the defending goalkeeper is allowed; goals must be scored by throwing the ball from outside the zone or while "diving" into it. 2015 Women's U-19 European Handball Championship
The 2015 Women's U-19 European Handball Championship was the tenth edition of the European Women's U-19 Handball Championship, held in Valencia, Spain from 23 July to 2 August 2015. Sixteen teams participated on the tournament, including the fifteen qualifying winners and the host nation. Sweden was the defending champions, but didn't reached the final, after getting defeated by Denmark in the semifinals. Denmark won the tournament, with a 29-26 win against Russia. The European Women's U-19 European Handball Championship is the official competition for junior women's national handball teams of Europe. Organized by the European Handball Federation, it takes place every two years. The competition received its current name in 2004, until then it was known as the European Women's Junior Handball Championship.
