IV (The 1975 EP)
''IV'' is the fourth extended play by English rock band the 1975, released on 20 May 2013 through Dirty Hit and Polydor. It is the last of four EPs released before the band's debut album, ''The 1975''. The song " The City" was re-recorded for this EP (listed as "single version"), and it is a longer version of the re-recorded version that appears on the debut album. Interscope Records issued the EP in the United States by replacing every song but "The City" with songs from the band's previous singles. Interscope did issue "fallingforyou" backed with "Haunt //Bed" as a promotional 7" vinyl record as well. Critical reception ''IV'' received near-positive reception. The 1975
The 1975 are an English pop rock band formed in 2002 in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Now based in Manchester, the band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matthew "Matty" Healy, lead guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald, and drummer George Daniel. The band members met in secondary school and performed together as teenagers. Gigs, organised by a council worker, led the band to sign with Dirty Hit and Polydor Records. They opened for several major acts and released a series of extended plays ('' Facedown'', ''Sex'', ''Music for Cars'', '' IV'') from 2012–13, before releasing their UK chart-topping self-titled debut album (2013), which includes the popular singles "Sex", "Chocolate", and "Robbers". "The City" is the debut single by English rock band The 1975, released in 2012. The song was originally recorded for their debut extended play '' Facedown'', with a re-recorded version later appearing on their fourth extended play '' IV'' and (in edited form) as the second track on their self-titled debut. Top Heatseekers are "Breaking and Entering" music charts issued weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. The Heatseekers Albums and the Heatseekers Songs charts were introduced by ''Billboard'' in 1991 with the purpose of highlighting the sales by new and developing musical recording artists. The song was originally recorded by the band for their third extended play, ''Music for Cars'', where it appears as the second track, and later appeared as the fourth track on their self-titled debut. The song was written by band members George Daniel, Matthew Healy, Adam Hann and Ross MacDonald. The band co-produced the EP version of the song with Michael and Robert Coles, while Mike Crossey provided additional production. Dirty Hit is a British independent record label founded in December 2009 by Jamie Oborne, Brian Smith, and former England footballer, Ugo Ehiogu. It is currently based in West London, England.
