"Iść w stronę słońca" is a 1981 song by Polish band 2 Plus 1. Song information The song was composed by the band's leader Janusz Kruk, and the lyrics were written by Andrzej Mogielnicki, a popular Polish lyricist. It was first released on a cardboard record by Tonpress in 1981, a popular medium often replacing the single format in the pre-1990s Poland. In the same year, the track appeared on a various artists EP ''VIII konkurs na piosenkę dla młodzieży'', which also included songs by such popular Polish acts as Izabela Trojanowska and Kombi. A live version of the song was included on 2 Plus 1's 1986 compilation ''Greatest Hits Live'', and the studio recording on the 1991's '' 18 Greatest Hits''. "Iść w stronę słońca" is regarded as one of 2 Plus 1's biggest hits, as well as the so-called "evergreen", since it has become deeply rooted in the history of Polish popular music. ''Greatest Hits Live'' is a compilation album by Polish group 2 Plus 1, released in 1986 by PolJazz. The album included some of the band's greatest hits, and was divided into two parts. Side one consisted of selected hits from the 1970s, which were studio recordings with added applause, and side two featured excerpts from an actual live performance at the Warsaw Congress Hall in 1984. ''18 Greatest Hits'' is a compilation album by Polish group 2 Plus 1, released in 1991 by Sonic Records. It was 2 Plus 1's first album released directly on CD, and their last authorised release in the original line-up, before Janusz Kruk's death in 1992. Branded as a greatest hits album, the CD featured majority of the band's most notable hits, although ignored their English-language material. The album was re-released as ''21 Greatest Hits'' five years later with slightly altered track listing, and the original 1991 issue is now a rare collectors' item. Kombi (band)
Kombi is a Polish musical band from Poland, founded in 1969 in Gdańsk by Sławomir Łosowski. In the beginning, the group played mostly experimental, jazz music. In second half of the 1970s they turned into funk rock, later their style turned towards synth-pop. They used such musical equipment as Commodore 64 as a MIDI sequencer, Prophet 5, Yamaha DX-7 synthesizer, Simmons SDS-V electronic drum kit and Roland TR-808 drum machine. Izabela Ludwika Trojanowska (née Schütz; born 22 April 1955) is a Polish rock singer and actress performing in theatre, TV series and films. She is best known for her 1980 hits "Tyle samo prawd ile kłamstw" and "Wszystko czego dziś chcę", and her role in the popular Polish soap opera '' Klan''.
