Izzah Amzan
Izzah Binti Amzan (born 19 October 2000) is a Malaysian rhythmic gymnast. Early life and background Izzah was born in Mentakab, Pahang. She is the youngest of three siblings. She took up gymnastics at the age of five after her yoga instructor mother introduced her to the sport. Athletic career Izzah made her international senior debut in 2016. She represented Malaysia at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games and at age 17 became one of Malaysia’s youngest athletes to compete at the SEA Games. At the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, she won two gold medals and one silver. Mentakab
Mentakab (alternately ''Mentekab'', Jawi: منتاكب, Pahang Malay: ''Mentekak'') is a town, a mukim (commune) and a state assembly constituency in Temerloh District in central Pahang, Malaysia. It is northwest from downtown Temerloh and northeast from Kuala Lumpur. History It was originally known as Pasir Rawa. In the late 19th century, Mentakab was a candidate for Pahang's new capital city, replacing Pekan. However, due to its mountainous terrain, Kuala Lipis was instead chosen as the capital of the state in 1898, later replaced by Kuantan in 1955. Transport Rail Mentakab has a railway station operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu. The railway station is on the East Coast Line of the KTM Intercity network, running from Gemas in Negeri Sembilan to Tumpat in Kelantan and goes through the railway station in Mentakab.
