Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are lipid bilayer-delimited particles that are naturally released from almost all types of cell but, unlike a cell, cannot replicate. Size-exclusion chromatography (SEC), also known as molecular sieve chromatography, is a chromatographic method in which molecules in solution are separated by their size, and in some cases molecular weight. Tunable Resistive Pulse Sensing (TRPS) is a single-particle technique used to measure the size, concentration and zeta potential of particles as they pass through a size-tunable nanopore.
