Izet Ibrahimi
Izet Ibrahimi (born January 1, 1962) is a retired Albanian politician from Kosovo, and a former mayor of Glogovac. He is currently a lecturer. Biography Izet Ibrahimi was born near Glogovac, Kosovo to Albanian parents. He finished high school in Prishtina in 1981, later attending the Faculty of Geoscience and Technology of the University of Prishtina, from which he graduated in 1986. Ibrahimi graduated from the University of Pristina in 1986, he earned a degree in engineering. In 1995 he enrolled in postgraduate studies at FXM. He earned the title Master of Technical Sciences. Ibrahimi submitted a doctoral thesis in 2008 titled "Opportunities to bramces exploitation of Ferronickel for producing construction materials", defending it at the Faculty of Geoscience and Technology of University of Pristina and received the academic title of '' Doctor of Technical Sciences.'' The Democratic Party of Kosovo ( sq, Partia Demokratike e Kosovës; abbr. ''PDK'') is one of the largest political parties in Kosovo. It was originally a social-democratic party coming out of the demilitarised Kosovo Liberation Army after the Kosovo War, with most of the leadership coming from Albanian nationalists and former members of the People's Movement of Kosovo. Kosovo War
The Kosovo War was an armed conflict in Kosovo that started 28 February 1998 and lasted until 11 June 1999. It was fought by the forces of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (i.e. Serbia and Montenegro), which controlled Kosovo before the war, and the Kosovo Albanians, Kosovo Albanian rebel group known as the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). Drenas
Drenas, also known as Gllogoc or Glogovac, is a town and municipality in central Kosovo. As of the 2011 census, there were 6,143 people residing in Drenas and 58,531 in the municipality. Drenica
Drenica ( al, Drenicë, Drenica, ), also known as the Drenica Valley, is a hilly region in central Kosovo, covering roughly around of Kosovo's total area (6%). It consists of two municipalities, Drenas and Skenderaj, and several villages in Klina, Zubin Potok, Mitrovica and Vushtrri. It is located west of the capital, Pristina. According to the 2011 Census, the population of the region is 109,389, excluding the surrounding villages. Albanians form the absolute majority of the region. Kosovo Liberation Army
The Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA; , UÇK) was an ethnic Albanian separatist militia that sought the separation of Kosovo, the vast majority of which is inhabited by Albanians, from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) and Serbia during the 1990s.
