, birthname , is a Japanese businesswoman, author and former geisha. Iwasaki was the most famous geisha in Japan until her sudden retirement at the age of 29. Known for her performances for celebrity and royalty during her geisha life, Iwasaki was the heir apparent () to her geisha house () while she was just a young apprentice. Shun-ichi Iwasaki (, ''Iwasaki Shun’ichi''; born August 3, 1926) is a Japanese engineer. He was professor at Tohoku University and then became president and of Tohoku Institute of Technology. He was also a professor at Lanzhou University (China). Iwasaki's pioneering work on perpendicular magnetic recording has been integral to the development of modern hard disk drives. is a Japanese singer and actress. She is notable for singing most of the various theme songs for the anime television series ''Touch'' along with Yumekojo. In 2008, she joined the fantasy band Sound Horizon for the release of their 6th story CD Moira. However, she left the band for undisclosed reasons prior to the 6th Story Concert and was subsequently replaced by Azumi Inoue. was a Japanese artist and illustrator best known for her water-colored illustrations of flowers and children, the theme of which was "peace and happiness for children". Life Chihiro Iwasaki was born the first daughter of Masakatsu and Fumie Iwasaki on 15 December 1918, in Takefu (now Echizen-city), Fukui Prefecture, Japan. The following year, her family moved to Tokyo, where they lived until 1945. As a little girl, Chihiro loved to draw pictures. Carl Keiji Iwasaki (born October 30, 1961) is an American baseball coach and former catcher. He played college baseball at Northern Colorado for coach Tom Petroff from 1981 to 1984. (18 November 1903 – 16 September 1981) was a prominent left-wing Japanese film critic, historian, and producer. Born in Tokyo, he became interested in film from his student days at Tokyo University. Early on, he helped introduce German experimental film in Japan, and was instrumental in getting Teinosuke Kinugasa's masterpiece '' A Page of Madness'' screened in Tokyo. Afterward, he became involved in Marxist politics and established a career promoting progressive cinema and criticism. He wrote or edited over thirty books of film criticism, history, theory and biography during his career.
