Italians In Finland
Finnish Italians are Finns who speak Italian, were born in Italy or are children of Italian immigrants. The number of Italians can only be measured in the number of Italian speakers, people born in Italy and their children, since Finland doesn't collect statistics on ethnicity. Demographics 67% of Finnish Italians are male and 33% are female. 51.3% of Finnish Italians are employed, 9.5% are unemployed and 39.2% are outside the labour force. There are over 200 Italian students in Finland, and over 160 Italian entrepreneurs. 761 Italian men are in a registered relationship with a Finnish woman. Lauri Dalla Valle (born 14 September 1991) is a Finnish former professional footballer who played as a striker. After playing youth football for JIPPO and Inter Milan, Dalla Valle moved to England in 2008 to join Liverpool. After two seasons he joined Fulham, and while there spent spells with Bournemouth, Dundee United, Exeter City and Crewe Alexandra, leaving the club in 2013. Sara Negri
Sara Negri (born January 21, 1967) is a mathematical logician who studies proof theory. She is Italian, worked in Finland for several years, where she was a professor of theoretical philosophy in the University of Helsinki, and currently holds a position as professor of mathematical logic at the University of Genoa. Education and career Negri was born in Padua, and studied at the University of Padua. She earned a master's degree there in 1991 and a Ph.D. in 1996, both in mathematics. Eugenio Giraldoni
Eugenio Giraldoni (20 May 1871, Marseille – 23 June 1924, Helsinki) was an Italian operatic baritone who enjoyed a substantial international career. In 1900, he created the role of Baron Scarpia in Giacomo Puccini's ''Tosca''. He was the son of another leading baritone, Leone Giraldoni, and the soprano and violinist Carolina Ferni. His mother gave him voice lessons and he made his opera debut in Barcelona, as Escamillo in '' Carmen'', in 1891. Giraldoni consolidated his career by appearing at various operatic venues in Italy and, in 1898, visiting South America. Then, in 1900, he earned a place in operatic history when he created the part of Baron Scarpia in ''Tosca'', at the Teatro Costanzi in Rome. Clara Petrozzi (former Clara Petrozzi-Stubin, born Clara Cristina Petrozzi Helasvuo; 30 December 1965) is a Peruvian-born violinist, violist, musicologist and composer. She is based in Finland.
