''It Was This or Football'' was the intended first album by the British ska/Independent music, indie band Kid British. The album was originally scheduled to be released via Mercury Records in two halves, like a football match – this idea was inspired by the title of the album, and the first half was released as an Extended play, EP on 20 July 2009. However, the second half of the album was cancelled with the band stating on their Facebook page that they had been recording new tracks for the album and that a new full version of ''It Was This or Football'' would be released in summer 2010. Kid British
Kid British, often styled as KiD BRiTiSH, were an English 6-piece music group, hailing from Manchester, United Kingdom. The band was composed of Adio Marchant (vocals), Simeon McLean (vocals), Sean Mbaya (vocals/guitar/keyboard), Dominick Allen (vocals/rhythm guitar), Mykey Wilson (drums) and Tom Peek (bass guitar). Former members were James Mayer (vocals), Tom Peek (bass) who both left due to personal reasons. Adio Marchant has since developed his own indie pop side project called Bipolar Sunshine. Evolution of the Arabic digit In the beginning, various Indians wrote a digit 9 similar in shape to the modern closing question mark without the bottom dot. The Kshatrapa, Andhra and Gupta started curving the bottom vertical line coming up with a -look-alike. The Nagari continued the bottom stroke to make a circle and enclose the 3-look-alike, in much the same way that the sign @ encircles a lowercase ''a''. As time went on, the enclosing circle became bigger and its line continued beyond the circle downwards, as the 3-look-alike became smaller. Soon, all that was left of the 3-look-alike was a squiggle. The Arabs simply connected that squiggle to the downward stroke at the middle and subsequent European change was purely cosmetic. The Specials, also known as The Special AKA, are an English Two-tone (music genre), 2 tone and ska revival band formed in 1977 in Coventry.
