Azerbaijan National Independence Party
The National Independence Party of Azerbaijan ( az, Azərbaycan Milli İstiqlal Partiyası) is a centre-right political party in Azerbaijan. History NIPA was founded on July 3–4, 1992 and was officially registered at the Justice Ministry on July 17 the same year, reestablishing multi-party system in Azerbaijan after 70 years of Soviet rule. NIPA was the first political organization to struggle for political power and its party leader Etibar Mammadov was one of the leading figures of the Azerbaijani national freedom movement. While holding a press conference in Moscow City on January 26, 1990, on the massacres committed by the Soviet Union in Baku January 20, 1990, Etibar Mammadov was arrested and detained in the Lefortovo prison. The Independence Movement ( ar, حركة الاستقلال; ''Harakat Al-Istiklal'' or ''Al Haraka'') is a sovereigntist, reformist and secular center-right political party based in Zgharta (Lebanon), founded in 2006 by Michel René Moawad, son of the assassinated Lebanese President President René Moawad and first lady Nayla Moawad; a formal Member of the Lebanese Parliament. Guardians Of Independence
The Guardians of Independence (Arabic: حارس الاستقلال; ''Haras al Istiqlal'') were a secretive, clandestine political group established in early 1919 to oppose the British occupation of Iraq following World War I. Jafar abu al-Timman was its main organizer and leader. The Guardians of Independence used both nationalist and religious rhetoric against the British presence and contributed greatly to the rise of emotions that led to the 1920 revolt. It called for Iraqi and Syrian independence, the establishment of a constitutional monarchy, and the rejection of technical or economic assistance from the British. It concentrated most of its activities in the central Euphrates and in Baghdad. The Istiqlal Party ( ar, حزب الإستقلال, translit=Ḥizb Al-Istiqlāl, lit=Independence Party; french: Parti Istiqlal; zgh, ⴰⴽⴰⴱⴰⵔ ⵏ ⵍⵉⵙⵜⵉⵇⵍⴰⵍ) is a political party in Morocco. Tehrik-e-Istiqlal
Tehreek-e-Istiqlal () was a political party in Pakistan. It was once the second most popular political party in Pakistan. It was formed by Air Marshal Retd. Asghar Khan in 1970. In 1990 Pakistani general election it entered into an alliance with Pakistan Peoples Party for electoral calculus. Istiglal Anti-Material Rifle
The Istiglal IST-14.5 anti-materiel rifle (also known as the Istiglal) is a recoil-operated, semi-automatic anti-materiel sniper rifle produced by Telemexanika zavodu, subsidiary of the Ministry of Defence Industry of Azerbaijan. History Although developed in 2008, it was only revealed in 2009 during the International Defense Exhibition Fair. Its appearance has attracted a huge number of visitors. The Istiglal anti-materiel rifle uses the powerful 14.5×114mm round. It has been exported to the Turkish Armed Forces and the Pakistan Armed Forces.
