Israel Gutiérrez
José Israel Gutiérrez Zermeño (born 15 January 1993) is a Mexican basketball player for Dorados de Chihuahua and the Mexico national team, where he participated at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. He played college basketball for the Borregos ITESM Hidalgo. National team career Gutiérrez represented the Mexico national team at the 2014 FIBA World Cup and 2016 Centrobasket. He then won a bronze medal at the 2017 FIBA AmeriCup held in Argentina. He later captained Mexico at the 2019 Pan American Games. 2018 CIBACOPA Season
The 2018 CIBACOPA season was the 18th season of the Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacífico (CIBACOPA), one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on 5 April 2018 and ended on 19 July 2019. The league title was won by the Tijuana Zonkeys, who defeated the Garra Cañera de Navolato in the championship series, 4–2. Basketball competitions at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru began on July 27 and continue through August 10. The competitions are taking place at the Coliseo Eduardo Dibos. This was the Pan American Games debut of 3x3 basketball for both men and women, bringing the total number of basketball events on the program to four. This was done after the International Olympic Committee added the events to the program of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. A total of eight men's and eight women's teams (each consisting of up to twelve athletes) competed in each five-a-side tournament respectively, and six teams competed in each 3x3 tournament (with four athletes per team). The 2016 Men's Central American and Caribbean Basketball Championship, also known as 2016 Centrobasket, was the regional basketball championship of FIBA Americas for the Central American and Caribbean subzone.
