2018 CIBACOPA Season
The 2018 CIBACOPA season was the 18th season of the Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacífico (CIBACOPA), one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on 5 April 2018 and ended on 19 July 2019. The league title was won by the Tijuana Zonkeys, who defeated the Garra Cañera de Navolato in the championship series, 4–2. It was the Zonkeys' third CIBACOPA title, which tied the Trigueros de Ciudad Obregón for the most in league history. Overview Format Ten teams participate, playing in one single group. The top eight teams qualify for the playoffs, which are three rounds in a best-of-7 format. The start of the season was postponed by a month to allow players to return from playing in other international leagues. Teams All ten teams in the league returned from the previous season. Mineros De Cananea
Asociación Civil Club Deportivo Mineros de Guayana, known as Mineros de Guayana or simply Mineros, is a professional football club based in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela. History The Colegio Loyola Gumilla's field, located in Puerto Ordaz, was used in football matches. The people who played at the field decided to found a football club. On November 11, 1981, the club was founded as Club Deportivo Mineros de Guayana. On November 20, 1981, the club's foundation constitutive act was signed. Guaymas
Guaymas () is a city in Guaymas Municipality, in the southwest part of the state of Sonora, in northwestern Mexico. The city is south of the state capital of Hermosillo, and from the U.S. border. Mazatlán
Mazatlán () is a city in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. The city serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding ''municipio'', known as the Mazatlán Municipality. It is located at on the Pacific coast, across from the southernmost tip of the Baja California Peninsula. ''Mazatlán'' is a Nahuatl word meaning "place of deer". Ciudad Obregón is a city in southern Sonora. It is the state's second largest city after Hermosillo and serves as the municipal seat of Cajeme, as of 2020, the city has a population of 436,484. Navolato
Navolato is a city in Navolato Municipality in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. It is located on the central coast part of the state bordering the Gulf of California. The municipality reported 135,603 inhabitants in the 2010 census, while the city reported 29,153 inhabitants. The city is located about 25 kilometers west of Culiacán and can be reached by road. Guasave () is a city and the seat of the homonymous municipality in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. It is located in the northwestern part of Mexico, southeast of the city of Los Mochis. It stands at .
