Iskandar Johor Open
The Iskandar Johor Open was a golf tournament held in Malaysia and part of the Asian Tour. It was first held in 2007 when it was played at the Royal Johor Country Club in Johor Bahru. The 2008 purse was US$500,000. In 2009, Johor Open's purse was doubled to a size of US$1 million. The prize fund in 2010 was US$1.25 million, the joint richest event sanctioned solely by the Asian Tour, alongside the Hero Honda Indian Open, and 8th richest event of the Asian Tour. The 2011 Johor Open was added to the European Tour and the purse increased to US$2 million. In 2012, the Johor Open was no longer a European Tour event but the prize money remained at US$2 million. Simon Yates (golfer)
Simon Yates (born 16 March 1970) is a Scottish golfer. Turning professional in 1989, Yates relocated to Thailand after holidaying in Asia and deciding to base himself in the region. He has played on the Asian Tour since its first official season in 1995. Antonio Lascuña
Antonio "Tony" Lascuña (born 26 December 1970) is a Filipino professional golfer. He has played on the Asian Tour and predominantly on the Philippine Golf Tour, where he was won 24 tournaments and four Order of Merit titles, making him the most successful player in the tour's history. Lascuña turned professional in 1997. After great success in his home country he joined the Asian Tour in 2007. Since then he has retained his card comfortably every season, with runner-up finishes in the 2007 Iskandar Johor Open and the 2012 Mercuries Taiwan Masters. Artemio Murakami (born 22 July 1983) is a Filipino professional golfer. Murakami turned professional in 2005 and joined the Asian Tour in 2007. In his debut season he won his first tournament at the Iskandar Johor Open, and in 2008 he recorded his best Order of Merit finish of 47th. Thaworn Wiratchant (born 28 December 1966) is a Thai professional golfer who plays on the Asian Tour where he holds the record for most victories, with 18 total wins. Professional career Wiratchant's biggest win came in March 2005 when he won the Enjoy Jakarta Standard Chartered Indonesia Open. This event was co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and the European Tour, meaning that Wiratchant became the second Thai after Thongchai Jaidee to win on the European Tour. Retief Goosen (born 3 February 1969) is a South African professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour Champions.
