Isar I and Isar II are two base load nuclear power plants which have been built in Germany next to the Isar river. They are fourteen kilometres away from Landshut, between Essenbach and Niederaichbach. PreussenElektra GmbH (former name: E.ON Kernkraft GmbH) is a subsidiary of the German utility E.ON. It is responsible for operation and decommissioning of the E.ON's nuclear assets. Isar
The Isar is a river in Tyrol, Austria, and Bavaria, Germany, which is not navigable for watercraft above raft size. Its source is in the Karwendel range of the Alps in Tyrol; it enters Germany near Mittenwald and flows through Bad Tölz, Munich, and Landshut before reaching the Danube near Deggendorf.
