Isane is a village in Bremanger Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It has a ferry connection to the village of Stårheim, located about northeast across the Nordfjorden in Stad Municipality. Bremanger Municipality
Bremanger is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village of Svelgen is the administrative centre of the municipality. Other villages include Bremanger, Berle, Davik, Isane, Kalvåg, Svelgen, Rugsund, and Ålfoten. Bremanger is the only municipality in Vestland, which is located in two districts. The northern and eastern parts comprising the villages of Oldeide, Berle, Rugsund, Davik, Isane, and Ålfoten is located in the Nordfjord region, while the villages of Bremanger, Kalvåg, Svelgen, Sørgulen, and Botnane are located in the Sunnfjord region. Stårheim
Stårheim (or ''Torvika'') is a village in the municipality of Stad, Norway, Stad in Vestland county, Norway. Stårheim is located in the central part of Stad Municipality on the north shore of the Nordfjorden (Sogn og Fjordane), Nordfjorden, about west of the municipal center of Nordfjordeid and about east of the village of Kjølsdalen. Davik (village)
Davik is a village in Bremanger Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on the southern shore of the Nordfjorden, about west of the village of Isane and about east of the village of Rugsund. The village of Kjølsdalen lies across the fjord from Davik. The population of the village (in 2001) was about 330 residents. The village of Davik was the administrative centre of the old municipality of Davik which was in existence from 1838 until 1964 when it was dissolved and its lands were split between three other municipalities. Nordfjorden (Sogn Og Fjordane)
Nordfjorden is the sixth longest fjord in Norway. It flows through the municipalities of Stryn, Gloppen, Stad, Bremanger, and Kinn, and it is the central feature of the entire Nordfjord region which makes up the northern third of the county. The long fjord stretches from Husevågøy island in Kinn Municipality to the village of Loen in Stryn Municipality. The fjord starts as runoff from the Jostedalsbreen, Europe's largest mainland glacier, in the east and it flows west, emptying into the ocean just south of the Stadlandet peninsula. The mouth of the fjord lies between the large islands of Vågsøy and Bremangerlandet (with the smaller island of Husevågøy lying in the middle of the mouth).
