Isala Theater
The Isala Theater is a modern theater opened in 1999 in Capelle aan den IJssel near Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The theater offers a comprehensive program including music, comedy, drama, musicals, dance and youth programs. It also screens films. The theatre is the main venue where the DPFC dance school puts on semi-professional theater productions, which usually attract full houses. For two days in June 2010 the theatre staged a show by the students of the Havo voor Muziek en Dans (Academy for Music and Dance) called ''Talent On The Move 2010'', featuring choreography by Sara Erens, Jiří Kylián, Adriaan Luteijn, Hans van Manen Hans Arthur Gerard van Manen (; born 11 July 1932) is a Dutch ballet dancer, choreographer and photographer. Capelle Aan Den IJssel
Capelle aan den IJssel (; en, Capelle on the IJssel) is a small city and municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The municipality had a population of in , and covers an area of , of which is water. It is situated on the eastern edge of Rotterdam, on the Hollandse IJssel river. The town has what is probably the country's smallest museum, the Dief en Duif huis ("House of Thieves and Pigeons"). Jiří Kylián
Jiří Kylián (born 21 March 1947) is a Czech former dancer and contemporary dance choreographer. Life Jiří Kylián was born in 1947 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, to his father Václav who was a banker and to his mother Markéta, who was as a young teenager a dancer-child protégée. Initially inspired by the acrobatic performances of the , Kylián decided to pursue professional ballet training at the School of the National Ballet Prague at the age of 9, after having seen a ballet performance for the first time. Kylián was admitted to the Prague conservatory in 1962. Here he encountered one of his mentors, teacher and former dancer Zora Šemberová, "who left a deep mark in Jiří's professional development".
