Isabelle Fijalkowski
Isabelle Fijalkowski, now Isabelle Fijalkowski-Tournebize (born May 23, 1972 in Clermont-Ferrand, Puy-de-Dôme), is a retired French basketball player. She was inducted into the French Basketball Hall of Fame, in 2011. Career United States Fijalkowski played college basketball for University of Colorado, then was drafted by the Cleveland Rockers in 1997. EuroBasket Women is a biennial international women's basketball competition held between the nations of FIBA Europe for women's national teams. EuroBasket Women is also used as a qualifying tournament for the FIBA Women's World Cup and also the Olympic Games. The 1994 FIBA Women's World Championship was the 12th edition of the FIBA Women's World Championship, an quadrennial international tournament played by women's basketball teams in FIBA. It was hosted in Australia from 2 to 12 June 1994 at five venues with the Sydney Entertainment Centre hosting the finals. The tournament consisted of 16 nations from five federations who competed through the regional qualifiers to get to the tournament. These teams were divided into four groups for the Preliminary Round. 1997 WNBA Draft
The 1997 WNBA draft was the inaugural draft held by the WNBA through which teams could select new players from a talent pool of college and professional women's basketball players. Unlike later drafts, this draft was unique because there were three different stages in which teams built their rosters.
