Isabelle Demongeot
Isabelle Demongeot (born 18 September 1966) is a former professional tennis player from France, who turned professional on 1 May 1983. She lived in Saint-Tropez in the French Riviera in the early stages of her career and later settled further south in Gassin. Demongeot won her only WTA Tour singles title in Purchase in New York state in 1991. She achieved her best Grand Slam singles performance by reaching the fourth round of Wimbledon in 1986. She won a total of nine WTA Tour doubles titles. Her best Grand Slam doubles performance was reaching the French Open quarter-finals with Nathalie Tauziat of France in 1987 and 1992. WTA German Open
The German Open (currently known as the Grass Court Championships Berlin or bett1open) is a WTA Tour affiliated professional tennis tournament for women played in West Berlin, West Germany (until 1990), then Berlin, Germany from 1991 to 2008 following reunification. Held since 1896, it was one of the oldest tournaments for women. Until 1978 the tournament was held in Hamburg together with the men's tournament. From 1988, it was classified on the WTA Tour as a Tier I tournament. After an absence of more than a decade, the tournament was announced to return to the WTA calendar for the 2020 season. However, the event was cancelled in April 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and it would be due to return in 2021. Lise Gregory (born 29 August 1963) is a South African former tennis player who played primarily doubles. She played left-handed. Her career-high doubles ranking in 1990 was no. 18. She reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open and was one of the top eight teams participating in the year-end Virginia Slims Championships. She played in college for the University of Miami, earning seven NCAA All-American awards in both singles and doubles and the NCAA doubles championship in 1986 with long-time doubles partner Ronni Reis. After her playing career, she became a college coach, first assistant coach at Vanderbilt University, then head coach at Florida State University and the University of North Carolina at Asheville, earning numerous coaching awards. Katrina M. Adams (born August 5, 1968) is an American tennis executive and former professional tennis player from Chicago. Jana Novotná (; 2 October 1968 – 19 November 2017) was a Czech professional tennis player. She played a serve and volley game, an increasingly rare style of play among women during her career. Novotná won the women's singles title at Wimbledon in 1998, and was runner-up in three other majors. Helen Elizabeth "Betsy" Nagelsen McCormack (born October 23, 1956) is an American former professional tennis player. Career Nagelsen was the world's top junior in 1973. She won the 1973 U.S. Champion Girls' 16 and under singles. She also won the USTA Girls' Sportsmanship Award in 1974. The Brighton International was a tennis tournament held in Brighton, UK. It was a WTA Tour event from 1978–1995 and an ATP Tour event from 1996-2000, upon the discontinuation of the women's tournament. The women's event was held in October. The Zurich Open was a WTA Tour affiliated professional tennis tournament for women, formerly held every winter in Zürich, Switzerland. It was classified on the WTA Tour as a Tier I tournament from 1993 until 2007. In its final year, 2008, it was downgraded to a Tier II event. Career In 1982, Tanvier became Wimbledon girls' singles champion after defeating first-seeded Helena Suková in the final in straight sets.
