Isabelle Attard
Isabelle Robert Attard (born 4 November 1969, in Vendôme) is a French archaeologist and politician, best known for her work in archaeozoology, specialising in the Bearded vulture during the Last Glacial Period. She has served as the museum director for the Bayeux Tapestry Museum from 2005 to 2010, and then the Utah Beach D-Day Museum from 2010 to 2012. As a politician, she has served as deputy for Calvados's 5th constituency, and was a member of the Europe Ecology – The Greens party until 2013, after which she was co-president of the New Deal party until 2015. Vendôme
Vendôme (, ) is a Subprefectures in France, subprefecture of the Departments of France, department of Loir-et-Cher, France. It is also the department's third-biggest Communes of France, commune with 15,856 inhabitants (2019). It is one of the main towns along the river Loir. New Deal (french: Nouvelle Donne) is a Keynesian liberal and progressive political party in France. It was founded on 18 November 2013 by Pierre Larrouturou. Its stated aims are to renew how democracy is used, and it has social, ecological and economic goals, which could be defined as left-wing. Archaeozoology
Zooarchaeology (sometimes called archaeozoology), also known as faunal analysis, is a branch of archaeology that studies remains of animals from archaeological sites. Faunal remains are the items left behind when an animal dies. These include bones, shells, hair, chitin, scales, hides, proteins and DNA. Of these items, bones and shells are the ones that occur most frequently at archaeological sites where faunal remains can be found. Most of the time, a majority of these faunal remains do not survive. They often decompose or break because of various circumstances. This can cause difficulties in identifying the remains and interpreting their significance.
