Isabel Gómez-Bassols
Isabel Gómez-Bassols is a psychologist, writer, and broadcaster in the United States. She is a radio talk show host on Univisión's nationwide Spanish-language radio network, and also appears regularly on television. Career Gómez-Bassols was born in Cuba; she has lived in Miami for most of her life. She has postgraduate degrees in education, psychology and psychological diagnosis. ''Nexos'' is a cultural and political magazine in based in Mexico City, Mexico. History and profile ''Nexos'' was founded in 1978. The founders were a group of Intellectuals headed by Héctor Aguilar Camín. The magazine modeled on the ''New York Review of Books''. Since the establishment of the magazine a number of leading intellectuals among its writers and contributors, such as José Woldenberg and Wendy Guerra have edited it. The magazine is published on a monthly basis. The magazine has socialist political views, and is a representative of the left-wing cultural and literary establishments in the country. Univision America (stylized as Univision AMerica) was a Spanish-language talk radio network produced and distributed by Univision Communications. It was launched on July 4, 2012 on 9 U.S. AM radio stations in California, Texas, Illinois, Nevada, and Florida. As of March 2014, it added one FM station in New York. The stations are all owned and operated by Univision Radio (now known as Uforia Audio Network). The network featured local, national and international news, weather and traffic updates, as well as shows focused on the issues that matter most to Hispanics. In 2015, Univision America's roster of programs were gradually canceled in a restructuring effort. The AM network was deemed unprofitable and was retooled to a music and paid programming format.
