Isaac Jenks
Isaac Jenks (17 March 1816 – 29 January 1888) was an English industrialist and ironmaster, who served as Mayor of Wolverhampton in 1872–1873. he became a prominent Wesleyan Methodist benefactor. Iron and steel Jenks started work at 12 years of age as an apprentice in a local ironworks founded four years earlier by the first Mayor of Wolverhampton, George Thorneycroft. After qualifying, he spent 20 years working in the local iron and steel industry and learned the value of a higher-end product. In 1857, he founded the Minerva Iron and Steel Works, followed closely by the Beaver Works. Eventually, capacity grew. In some ten years the two sites were supplying some 80 per cent of US steel imports from the UK. They were well placed on the Birmingham Canal Navigations for access to world markets. Sedgley is a town in the north of the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley, in the West Midlands (county), West Midlands, England. William Highfield Jones
Wolverhampton-born William Highfield Jones JP (7 January 1829 – 25 March 1903) was a successful industrialist, local politician, author and benefactor who, with two of his brothers, built one of the largest businesses in Wolverhampton, Jones Brothers & Co. He became an alderman and the twenty-fifth Mayor of Wolverhampton. The Jones brothers are the only family to have provided three Mayors of Wolverhampton. Early years Jones was born in Wolverhampton on 7 January 1829, one of nine children of Edward Jones and Rebecca. Jones' father was a foreman at the Old Hall japanning works, where three of his sons became apprenticed. William left and set up his own business in rented workshops nearby. Jones Bros. & Co. Rhyl
Rhyl (; cy, Y Rhyl, ) is a seaside town and community in Denbighshire, Wales. The town lies within the historic boundaries of Flintshire, on the north-east coast of Wales at the mouth of the River Clwyd ( Welsh: ''Afon Clwyd''). To the west is Kinmel Bay and Towyn, to the east Prestatyn, and to the southeast Rhuddlan and St Asaph. At the 2011 Census, Rhyl had a population of 25,149, with Rhyl–Kinmel Bay having 31,229. Rhyl forms a conurbation with Prestatyn and its two outlying villages, the Rhyl/Prestatyn Built-up area, whose 2011 population of 46,267 makes it north Wales's most populous non-city (the city of Wrexham's being greater). Dawley
Dawley ( ) is a constituent town and civil parish in Telford and Wrekin in Shropshire, England. It was originally, in 1963, going to be the main centre of the 'Dawley New Town' plan before it was decided in 1968 to name the new town as 'Telford', after the engineer and road-builder Thomas Telford. Dawley now forms part of Telford which is north of the town itself. Dawley is one of the older settlements in Shropshire, being mentioned in the Domesday Book (1086). It is divided into ''Dawley Magna'' ("Great Dawley") and Little Dawley (also shown as ''Dawley Parva'' ("Little Dawley") on older maps).
