Irwan Shah
Muhammad Irwan Shah Bin Arismail (born 2 November 1988) is a Singaporean former footballer who last played as a central-midfielder. Mainly a central-midfielder, Irwan has also been positioned as a full-back, and occasionally as a centre-back when needed. Irwan Shah is the first Singaporean player to win the AFF Championship, Malaysian Super League, and S. League in 3 consecutive seasons (2012–2014). Club career LionsXII Irwan helped LionsXII in making history as the first foreign club to win the 2013 Malaysia Super League. Warriors Irwah left LionsXII to join Warriors in 2014 which he helped the club to win the 2014 S.League in his first season. 2020 Singapore Community Shield
The 2020 Singapore Community Shield (also known as the AIA Community Shield for sponsorship reasons) was the 8th edition of the Singapore Charity Shield held on 22 February 2020 at Jalan Besar Stadium, between 2019 Singapore Cup winner Tampines Rovers and Hougang United. Hougang replaces 2019 Singapore Premier League champions DPMM FC who skipped the game due to precautionary travel restrictions because of the coronavirus situation. Singapore Community Shield
The Singapore Community Shield (also known as the AIA Community Shield due to sponsorship reasons; formerly the Charity Shield) is the curtain-raiser to the football season in Singapore. The match is contested between the champions of the previous Singapore Premier League season and the Singapore Cup winners. In a situation when the same team wins both competition, then it is contested between the Singapore Premier League's champions and runners-up. The Community Shield (known then as the Charity Shield) was first contested in 2008. In the inaugural match, the Singapore Armed Forces defeated Home United 5–4 on penalties following a 1–1 draw. The Shield first doubled up as the season's opening fixture in 2014 and remained so for all subsequent editions until 2018. Singapore Cup
The Singapore Cup is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic Singaporean football. Established in 1998, it is the foremost football cup competition in the country. It is open to clubs in the Singapore Premier League. Since 2005, foreign teams from other countries in Southeast Asia are occasionally invited to compete in the Singapore Cup. Chonburi Province FC from Thailand was the first foreign club reaching the final in 2006 (they lost 3–2 in the final to local club Tampines Rovers). In 2009, Bangkok Glass became the second foreign team to reach the final, losing against local club Geylang United, but they beat Tampines Rovers in 2010 to become the first foreign winners of the Singapore Cup. The Singapore Premier League, commonly abbreviated as SPL, officially known as the AIA Singapore Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is a men's professional football league sanctioned by the Football Association of Singapore (FAS), which represents the sport's highest level in the Singapore football league system. The competition was founded as the S. League on 14 April 1996 after the FAS announced its intention to promote and expand the growing local football community by having a top level domestic league. The 2019 Singapore Cup (also known as the Komoco Motors Singapore Cup for sponsorship reasons) is the 22nd edition of the Singapore Cup, Singapore's annual premier club football knock-out tournament organised by the Football Association of Singapore. Terengganu Football Club is a professional football club based in Kuala Nerus, Terengganu, Malaysia, that competes in Malaysia Super League, the first division of Malaysian football league system. The Malaysia Super League ( ms, Liga Super Malaysia) is the men's top professional football division of the Malaysian football league system.
