''Irlandzki tancerz'' (English: ''The Irish Dancer'') is the fifth album by Polish group 2 Plus 1, released in 1979 by Wifon. It was a concept album A concept album is an album whose tracks hold a larger purpose or meaning collectively than they do individually. This is typically achieved through a single central narrative or theme, which can be instrumental, compositional, or lyrical. Som ..., inspired by traditional Irish folk music, and featured Polish translations of thirteen old Irish folk ballads. The album was highly successful and gathered very favourable reviews. Janusz Kruk
Janusz Kruk (7 August 1946 – 18 June 1992) was a Polish singer, guitarist and composer, the leader of the popular band 2 Plus 1. Career Kruk went to a musical school in Warsaw, where he learned to play double bass. At the end of the 1960s, he founded the band Warszawskie Kuranty, a member of whose was also Elżbieta Dmoch. In January 1971, Janusz and Elżbieta formed a new group, 2 Plus 1, which would become highly successful in Poland in the 1970s and the first half of the 1980s. On the turn of decades the band scored a number of minor hits in Western Europe and Japan, and released two albums internationally. Kruk had been the leader of the band until his death in the early 1990s. ''Easy Come, Easy Go'' is the sixth studio album by Polish group 2 Plus 1, released in 1980. It was their first international LP, released by Autobahn Records in Germany and Wifon in Poland. Recorded with various outside musicians and producers, the album's blend of pop and disco was a departure from the band's previous folk-flavoured repertoire. Easy Come, Easy Go (2 Plus 1 song), The title track became 2 Plus 1's biggest hit in Germany and "Singapore (song), Singapore" was popular in Japan.
