Irina Ektova (née Litvinenko; born 8 January 1987, in Petropavlovsk) is a Kazakhstani triple jumper. She is married to Yevgeniy Ektov. The 14th IAAF World Championships in Athletics (Moscow 2013) () was an international athletics competition held in Moscow, Russia, from 10–18 August 2013. Initially, Russia won the most gold medals to top the table for the first time since 2001. It was also the first time ever the host nation took the top of the medal table. However, after disqualification of Russian sprinter Antonina Krivoshapka for doping and following redistribution of medals in the Women's 4 × 400 metres relay (as well as after series of other disqualifications of Russian athletes for doping offences), United States topped the medal table with eight golds. The women's triple jump at the 2008 Olympic Games took place on August 15 and 17 at the Beijing Olympic Stadium. Summary The qualifying standards for the 2008 event were (A standard) and (B standard). The automatic qualifier was still 14.45m but unlike four years earlier with 15 auto qualifiers, only eight made it this time. Hrysopiyi Devetzi was the #2 qualifier this time with a less spectacular 14.92m (40 cm less than her personal best in qualifying in 2004). Athletics at the 2008 Summer Olympics were held during the last ten days of the games, from August 15 to August 24, 2008, at the Beijing National Stadium. The Olympic sport of athletics is split into four distinct sets of events: track and field events, road running events, and racewalking events. Both men and women had very similar schedules of events. Men competed in 24 events and women in 23, as their schedule lacked the 50 km race walk. In addition, both the men's 110 m hurdles and decathlon are reflected in the women's schedule by the 100 m hurdles and heptathlon, respectively. The Olympic record was broken in 17 returning events. In five events, including the inaugural women's 3000 m steeplechase, the world record was broken.
