Irati, Paraná
Irati is a municipality in the state of Paraná in Brazil, with an estimated population 61,088 as of 2020. Irati sprang up in the 1890s as a railroad town along the São Paulo–Rio Grande do Sul railroad line. The name, Irati, comes from the Tupi language and reportedly means "river of honey" (apparently there were many bees in the region). Irati Forest
The Irati Forest, found in the western Pyrenees, covers of the Navarre region, astride on the Soule ( Larrau) and Basse-Navarre ( Mendive and Lecumberry) provinces (France) and Navarre (Spain), framed by Mount Okabe (1,466 m) and Pic d'Orhy (2,017 m). It is the second largest and best preserved mixed beech-fir forest in Europe. The Irati river ''(Basque: Iratiko erreka)'' is a right bank tributary of the Aragon in Sangüesa, Navarre. It begins in the Irati Forest, then feeds the water retenue of '''Itoiz''. Path It begins at the meeting point of the Urbeltza and Urtxuria rivers (''black waters'' and ''white waters'' in Basque, respectively) in the Irati Forest. From north, it has one French tributary, l' Iratiko. The river is then held up, shortly before Irabia, by a pond in the heart of the forest, Lake Irabia, built in 1921 with a tributary from the north, the river Urrio.
