The Iraqi Handball Federation (IHF) (Arabic: الاتحاد العراقي لكرة اليد) is the administrative and controlling body for handball in Republic of Iraq. Founded in 1972, IHF is a member of the Asian Handball Federation and member of the International Handball Federation since 1976. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team.
